Symposium organized by CTC:
 Symposium on Reynolds number effect: implications for understanding and controlling turbulence was held in March 2729, 2019. This meeting is inspired by Professor R.A. Antonia's contributions to turbulence research, including the effect of Reynolds number on turbulent flows, the response of a turbulent boundary layer to sudden changes in surface conditions, the identification of largescale organized motions in turbulent shear flows, and an improved understanding of smallscale turbulence.
 The 5th Symposium on FluidStructureSound Interactions and Control (FSSIC2019) was jointly organized by Institute of Fluid Mechanics of Toulouse (France) and University of Strasbourg (France), and held in Crete, Greece, August 2730, 2019.

Highlights: Our academic staff have published more than 20 articles in journals, with 11 of them in JFM, PoF, JFS, AIAAJ and secured 2 NSFC projects in 2017. Prof. Zhou becomes the 1st president of the FluidStructureSound Interactions and Control Society since September 1, 2017. The 4th Symposium on FluidStructureSound Interactions and Control was held in Japan and over 150 scholars presented their latest research work at the conference. Prof. Alam and Dr. Wong have received the title of “Nanshan District HighLevel Talents”.
