Invitation for Postdoctoral Fellow Applications

Postdoctoral Fellows in the following areas:
1. Fluid mechanics and fluid-structure interactions;
2. Research on global optimization technology of aerodynamic shape of high-speed vehicles using artificial-intelligence-based virtual engineering tools;
3. Research on drag reduction technology for high-speed vehicles.

Applicants should have a doctoral degree or an equivalent qualification. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to devote full time to their proposed research. They are, however, encouraged to attend or participate in various activities of the research program, including faculty-student seminars, colloquia, and public lectures. We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience.

PhD Scholarship Opportunities at CTC

Research projects in but not limited to the following areas:
1. Fundamental turbulence;
2. Turbulent wakes, jets, pipe flows, boundary layers and other engineering flows;
3. Flow-induced vibration in nuclear reactors and offshore structures;
4. Fluid dynamics and control around airfoils and multiple cylinders;
5. Flow-induced instabilities and galloping generation mechanisms of multiple cylinders;
6. Turbulent boundary layer control;
7. Aerodynamic control of vehicles;
8. Turbulent jet control.
9. Research on global optimization technology of aerodynamic shape of high-speed vehicles using artificial-intelligence-based virtual engineering tools;
10. Research on drag reduction technology for high-speed vehicles.

The candidate should have master’s degree with a first class, or upper second-class degree in an appropriate discipline such as aeronautical engineering, mechanical and control engineering, civil engineering or physics. We will provide highly competitive PhD scholarship (virtually equivalent to the PhD studentship level in Hong Kong).
